Lesson: Tumor Treatment Volumes

The International Commission on Radiation Units and Measurements Report 50 (ICRU 50), and its subsequent publication, the ICRU 62 supplement, deal with the prescribing, recording, and reporting of photon beam therapy.

As part of the treatment planning process for radiation therapy, various treatment volumes must be identified, defined, and assigned specific terminology. It is extremely important to delineate these volumes as accurately as possible.
